All the champagne glasses are washed and put away, family has been visited, parties have been attended, multiple episodes of Making a Murderer have been watched, and probably a few too many leftover treats have been devoured- all the signs of a great year well celebrated!
When I think about the year to come I can't help but be excited for all the possibility it holds. I love that when I speak to my friends they are happy the holidays are over- it means we have lovely lives we would like to get back to! It really suggests the value of balance: relaxation and celebration have their place as do productivity and progress. I for one am very excited to launch a 2016 filled with productivity and new learnings! Don't you just love human optimism?
This holiday was certainly inspiring on so many fronts, I was cleared from my physical therapists to get back into workout classes (yahoo!!), I cracked the spine of this baby (from my amazing mother in law and fellow avocado toast lover- Carrie) which has got me thinking creatively around more ways to be healthy in the new year, and I read a TON of books (The Library is about to fill up!)
What's coming up on Where's Mer this week (and beyond):
- The Uniform | A post from my very fashionable and very dear friend Liz Corbett
- The Library | A day of double book reviews!
- The Weekend | A weekend travel guide to Charleston, SC (and photos to follow the next week!)
- The Kitchen | A few genius ways to eat an egg
Next week I will be announcing a new section of the blog... stay tuned!
I hope you all have a fantastic new year! Love, Mer
