The Self | Lom is all you need

I am a no fuss no muss kind of make-up person and have accepted that about myself. I like a clean look so I go for a slim bundle of cosmetics that make it into my routine. Often what this means is I get convinced of a product by someone at a makeup counter and then never use it resorting to my basic tinted moisturizer and feeling so so about it.

The Home | Modern approach to antiques

We have all heard the saying, what's old is new again and have seen the cycles fly through fashion with seemingly increasing velocity and wackiness (cropped flares? really? I might as well be back in 6th grade at Limited Too trying to buy my first pair of bell bottoms after my growth spurt- although I must admit- some can pull it off.) In interiors, however, the cycles are slower and we are sometimes left asking ourselves if a trend will ever come back. Antiques in the home is one such category that we haven't seen in a while but I think is on it's way back in a big way.

The Kitchen | The best summer dressing.

I don't know about you guys but for me, dressings are the most illusive element to building an amazing salad. I tend to shy away from bottled dressings from the grocery store because I have yet to find a truly great one. The Self is actually a combination of two categories- The Office and The Apothecary. The idea behind "The Self" section is it is all about working to become our best selves whether it is through a beauty product/tonic, or inspiring interviews of great people sharing a bit about themselves...

The Weekend | Company Spotlight- AWAY

It often amazes me how much travel has become a part of daily life. Startup culture often means widely geographically spread teams and with fewer people living in the areas they grew up in or went to school in friends are often a plane ride away. It is rare that a month goes by that I do not hop on a plane or pick someone up from the airport for a visit.

A lot of french brands and restaurants have been cropping up on my instagram feed ever since I started doing research on our trip to France this summer. And as you know with this lovely marketing tool, once you start following a genre you quickly become exposed to loads of other similar brands and influencers that cover the same area. That is how I stumbled across Sezane and I am oh so glad that I did!
